Visions of Flesh and Blood: A Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire Compendium by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Honestly this book over all is kind of a waste of time unless you need a refresher post reading the series before a new book comes out. I read the Blood and Ash series and ordered this book because I thought it was the next in the series.  Turns out the next one comes out sometime spring 2024 (so hopefully soon). However I have not read Sera and Nyktos's series. So I did give this 3 stars because it gave me that whole story although very abbreviated.  Ultimately if you've read those books/series you don't need to read this, unless it's been a whole and you want an overall recap before the new Blood and Ash novel comes out.

This is a great YA book. An easy and fairly fast read with a cast of characters you can't help but fall in love with.

Although it's not up there in my all time favorites, I have to admit that I did NOT see the twist coming at all! 100% flabbergasted me and for that this book will be one to remember and one I will definitely recommend!

Phenomenal.  Just Phenomenal.  This whole series, but this final book was everything. Completely wrecked and destroyed me, but in the best way possible. So good! You will not regret reading this series!

I loved this book! This whole series so far!

This whole series has been up and down for me emotionally.  But this one really got me! I had tears streaming down my face at multiple points.

100% worth the read! Read the whole series!

Wow! After reading the first book, I wasn't sure how this second in the series would compare or even compete. But Wow! Just WOW!

The characters, the love story, the pain, trauma, & triumph! Just Wow!

I dont want to give any spoilers away, but this series is a must read for anyone who loves a dark, twisty, adventure. Who loves hope, redemption, and deep passionate love (with some very passionate moments intertwined!)

I'll be starting the next book immediately!

1. I actually really really enjoyed this book.  In fact i finished it in less than 3 days, I couldn't put it down.
I think once you get past the initial slightly cheesy beauty and the beast undercurrent, the whole story really just excels!
2. I was pretty surprised that this book was compared to Game of Thrones. I don't catch that at all. Not even a little. The only thing even remotely Game of Thrones esk, is the way the author abuses the characters. But she doesn't murder a star player every other chapter 😂. I mean I love G.R.R.M but his character assination is brutal!
However if you love Kristin Kashore's Graceling series as much as I did, you'll love this series as well!

3. I really appreciated how dark this was. It added so much suspense it made it near impossible for me to take care of my regular adulting duties, as all I wanted to do was read. If I wasn't writing this out at 1:30 a.m. with an alarm clock set for much too soon, I'd be launching into the second book of this series immediately!
the last conversation Feyre has with Rhys.... it's almost worth pulling an all nighter to get more details from the next book!
