I was so excited to read Elsie Silver's first ever novel and it did NOT disappoint. 4 stars!! It is interesting to read this series after Chestnut Springs because I can see the similarities, but I can also see Elsie's improvement in writing and pacing. This book felt a little more rushed than her others, and I didn't connect to her characters quite as much as the Chestnut Springs gang. I am really excited to read the rest of the books in the series (especially Violet Eaton's story).

I don't rate non-fiction, but I have so many Taylor Swift books to read that I got for Christmas. Excited to read all the Taylor books.
