The plot was… not great. But I’m embarrassed by how much I still liked it.

The main character feels like she’s straight out of a Disney channel movie… absolutely no critical thinking skills. And where was the plot? Idk but my intelligence was insulted with the way this went.

I love so many of these characters. I’m glad we got more of Tyree and Annika in this book. I loved the build up to the final battle. There were several characters or moments that were confusing to me, though, because they felt like loose ends - Satoria,
Neilina being rescued only to be immediately killed after Tyree finds her,
and how quickly seemingly insurmountable things were solved were confusing to me. I love Romeria and Zander and how he embraces all of who she is, but I wish we could’ve had more of them.

To feel so deeply seen in what it feels like to be depressed was devastating, cathartic, and beautiful to read. I loved the depth and authenticity of this love story, and I could not stop thinking about it.

No notes. I think I cried 6 separate times and it was in public so. This man was absolutely unreal (but he’s fictional so checks out), and the complicated personal circumstances made all of it so much more real and meaningful.

This was… not for me. The only reason I finished was a 350 pg book was not going to be what stood between me and a DNF but wow was it work

This book had many of the elements that make some of my favorite books. I loved the ending and the potential for where the story can go. I definitely liked how the secondary characters became important in different ways. My biggest disappointment is how slow it felt like the book started; then it felt like the romance developed all of a sudden. It was harder to root for them when she’d known him 3 days and he was consistently so awful. I wish it had developed more slowly so that it made more sense.
