Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert

On the one hand, this is delicately crafted and highly enjoyable set of stories I would have happily have read as individual novellas.
On the other hand: it is impossible to believe this to be a journey of empowering spiritual self-discovery when the journey is fully funded. I hope this is a common problem with the book and not indicative of me as a penny-pinching witch with no hope of achieving the same higher consciousness as the author. Perhaps Gilbert skirted this explanation for good reason.
What to do? Five stars: it's lovely.
