The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

Did not finish book. Stopped at 39%.
read about 1/3 of the book, realised it was an infantile copy of the bell jar by sylvia plath, stopped reading. skimmed some later pages that did not change my mind - matt haig uses a preface by plath, blatantly copies ("references") her fig tree metaphor and has the gall to call it a comfort book. matt haig had the audacity that all men have to try to do something a woman has done before and managed to fuck it up SO bad i couldn't stomach it. i didn't even like the bell jar but at least it was original.
