I read this purely for the hype around it and now I’m severely disappointed. Every time the book tries to engage in real life commentary, it falls flats and decides to push forward a more boring narrative.

Absolutely ridiculous in all the best ways! Some incredible moments of fear & plenty of laughs, this book is an absolute thrill. Quite a slow burn considering the short length.

Bleak, melancholic and chilling. Some stunning character work weaved amongst a tale of loss & terror. Beautiful.

Probably the most fun that I’ve had with a book in a long time! This one is for the girlies, the gays & the theys. It’s like if Thelma & Louise adopted a gay baby & injected it with pure queer humour and heart. Gia Rossi is a gay icon!

Grady Hendrix is a genius. This book is a love letter to my favourite horror subgenre and Hendrix has created a masterpiece in this stunning homage. Incredible character work, high tension and plenty of guts and gore. Truly phenomenal!

Such a fun read! This is definitely one for lovers of Wes Craven. Great concept, even better execution and brilliant twists. The world felt completely lived-in & I’m craving for more!

A claustrophobic gothic filled with folklore and queer desire. An absolutely beautiful read that remains captivating throughout.
