Full of drama, plotting and murder. A universally poetic classic that kept me hooked until the very last page.

A deeply imaginative and colourful world with an engaging and relatable hero you can't help but to wish he does well.

Deeply compelling, relatable and penetrating. A contemporary book with a simple premise that appeals to the reader's sense of empathy.

Imaginative and funny.

Witty, outlandish and very humorous

Distinctive, apocalyptic yet hopeful. A powerful symbol of new beginnings and continuity and written with unadulterated poetry. I prefer slow burners and this one was a bit too plosive for my taste but an easy read that can be done in one- sitting. Enjoy!

Beautiful story-telling but otherwise underwhelming carbon copied premise about star crossed lovers with very stereotypical characterisation. A fun sweet read nonetheless.

Extremely moving real life struggle about one man from Slovakia who spends three torturous years in captivity under Nazi Germany. A beautiful romance ensues between Lale and Gita and this incites them to keep living and hoping towards their future together. I really struggled to put this book down, it's so deeply immersing however the story telling dwindled towards the end as the events after Lale's captivity were exposited with a very rushed tone. An amazing tale of love and survival!
