I really enjoyed the Haunting Adeline series, and this felt like a more cutesy less grim version of it while still maintaining the dark romance and kinks I really enjoyed. This definitely felt a bit more down to earth and realistic with the Male protagonist having "faults" and not being so perfect always. That being said it's not getting a five star rating in my opinion because even though it was more realistic it still had that unrealistic super attractive, smoking hot, etc etc characters . I understand being in love and infatuated with someone but c'mon lol. Not every guy is perfectly chiseled and not every woman is ridiculously skinny with big tits haha

Such a great ready, humor , loveable gay sass / comebacks, and an amazing cast of characters makes this a 5 in my opinion.
Even when not reading I'd be thinking about the characters and the story
My only complaint is there isn't more (but there is!!!! Other books)
I would recommend to anyone looking to break away from high lore fantasy and/or smut.
FYI: Family loss/death and grief is a huge topic in the book
