Loved the pace of this book. If life didn't get in the way I would have finished sooner

This book was rather enjoyable, when the wedding day was coming to an end and I was only about 35% through the book I wasn't sure exactly how there could be more but I was pleasantly surprised at how it continued.

My first 5 star of the year. Definitely worth the hype. I put off this series for so long as I was worried it was over hyped but it really isn't. Rushing to read iron flame next.

The writting was done beautifully by Yarros. I was worried at the start that she would be too worried to kill off the lovable characters but thankfully like at basgiath, nobody is safe.

This book took a little over 24hrs for me to finish. The book was predictable but in the best way. However the twist on the last page I didn't see that happening. Really enjoyed this book

The first half of this book was starting to bug me, it was just so repetitive. The same sentence reworded 20+ times a chapter for 12 chapters! BUT, there was more than one twist in this book and I ate them up.

At the start of the book the author warns us about the mmc being moraly black and he isn't a nice guy... what does it say about me that I found him to be so lovable and just a big cuddly (but will bite if needed) doggo. I went into this book blind (other than the little warning) and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I did mark it down as there were a couple points where it just felt like trying to up the word count for the sake of it.
