Loving You by E.M. Lindsey

I adored this book! Bronx gave me such big warm fuzzies, and Monty was such a great match for him. I really liked Monty from the last book, and getting to dive a little more into him gave this story so much depth. His reasons for not wanting anything serious could have felt pretty flimsy without his absolutely awful father playing a pretty big part in his life. After seeing how shitty he was treated by his father, and learning how his father treated every partner he'd ever had just as badly, the trauma definitely made sense. And then Bronx came into the picture and destroyed all of Monty's doubts that he wouldn't make a good partner. I loved how their relationship grew and how Monty fell in love with not just Bronx, but with the idea that he could be a safe place for Bronx's son as well. Lucas was an absolute riot and one of my favorite parts of this book; he was able to bond with Monty and strengthen his relationship with Bronx all while building up his own little mystery romance sub plot along the way. As far as the spice goes, this book had plenty and it was glorious. Praise, begging, edging...so many yummy scenes. Overall I really enjoyed reading this one, and I'm definitely looking forward to getting into the next!
The Good Boys Club by Jemma Croft

Yet again, I am endlessly charmed by Jemma Croft. Her books never fail to make me laugh, and while I managed to escape tears this time, I definitely got a little misty-eyed a few times. Mash and Cian were the absolute cutest. I really enjoyed the switch in timelines throughout this book as a way to build the intensity of both their pining. Because, lawd were they ever pining. But the skipping around through time also let us see so many different aspects of their friendship without it feeling gratuitous. As the story progressed, we got to see them both fall more in love and become more and more possessive of each other, and that led to some very spicy moments that were laced with -even more pining- as they both tried to convince themselves out of confessing their true feelings. I thought this book ended perfectly, too. Cian's mini freak out, Mash insisting on a movie worthy reconciliation, and the happily ever after that involved Mash telling off Cian's awful parents. This book was such a delight to read, and I am hyped for a book about Gideon!

This was such a perfect end to Eric's story! Magnus was the absolute sweetest, and the friendship they formed before admitting that it was becoming more was just what they both needed. Both men were thrown into becoming grandparents unexpectedly, which helped them bond by supporting each other and their kids, but they also got a little push when Magnus lost his home and agreed to stay at Eric's place. All of their movie nights and collaborative cooking really cemented their friendship, and their chemistry was undeniable. We got some really great spice in this book, that's for sure! Annabeth never disappoints! There were also some great cameos from couples from the previous books, and of course a lot of Eric's kids, who are all so different but such wonderfully written characters. I really enjoyed this book!
Alternating Current by Katherine McIntyre

This was a really quick read, but I thought it was adorable! I loved how forward Kyle was, not afraid to tell Garrett exactly what he wanted, even if it did make him a little nervous. And Garrett was just instantly charmed by him, even though he tried to convince himself he was too old for Kyle. But they were just too good together to ignore. I liked how easily they communicated, and their connection felt really genuine. They really just fit together so well, and we got a pretty even split of spice and sweetness, which was perfect.
Touch In Excess by E.M. Lindsey

This book was centered around Skye, who up to this point didn't have a ton of presence in the previous books, so I really didn't know what to expect with him. I did really like his character, though, and I really loved the way he met Rami. Not the part where he got hurt, but just him happening to fall right into the yard of the house he was always fascinated by. I really enjoyed how Skye and Rami's relationship grew. It was full of awkwardness and a touch of miscommunication that wasn't painful, but that made it feel really genuine. We got to see a good handful of the other sins sprinkled throughout this book, too, which made me really happy. It also made me want to reread this series because it made me miss them 😆 Overall, this book just felt perfect to me and I had a lot of fun reading it!

I loved this book! The writing was excellent, the suspense was addictive, and the spice was out of this world hot. This was a very dark book, with a lot of violence, but it was balanced super well with the relationship development between Ranen and North. I loved those two together so much! As the book went on, Ranen developed deeper and deeper feelings for North, and while he understood that it didn't seem healthy, he wasn't willing to give up the safety and warmth he felt with him. North, on the other hand, was obsessed with Ranen before they even met, but he began to realize as the book went on that his obsession was growing into more. He didn't know he could feel so much for one person, and he was solidly committed to keeping Ranen his no matter what. Poor Ranen really went through it in this book, because as hard as North tried to keep him safe, somehow the danger just slipped through the cracks anyway. Even though Ranen got hurt A LOT, North was always there to save him and make sure the person who hurt him disappeared. I devoured this, and I'm pretty sure I'll be thinking about for a long time 😍 It was absolute perfection!

I didn't super jive with Declan and Jonas, but I still really enjoyed their book. I really liked the caretaking between them; not only just Jonas talking care of Declan when he was injured, but Declan doing his best to try to take care of Jonas when he was overworked, too. I thought they had good chemistry together, and I loved how cuddly they were and how their favorite activity was having Jonas read his mystery novels aloud for Declan. This book is also full of Annabeth Easter eggs, and it was super fun to see the little references to other stories that aren't even technically connected to the Mount Hope series. I'm really looking forward to the next book, too. Eric is probably going to absolutely break my heart, but I'm so ready for him to get his happy ending!

Man, these books are so good! They're the perfect balance of romance and action, and this one ended on such a crazy note! The story was so engaging, and the relationship between Shane, Ellis, and Rory progressed perfectly along with the plot. I already liked Shane and Ellis from the previous book, though the impression they left on Cal made them both look pretty dumb. Pretty much as soon as this book started, though, I was instantly endeared to them. Throwing in the poly twist to their destined mate was a really interesting curveball, and I loved the way Rory was written into their relationship. I think Rory is my favorite character yet from this series. Not only is he a total badass, but he's sweet and loving, too, and a perfect compliment to both Shane and Ellis. Ms. Jackson's story just keeps getting more interesting, as well, and Pia ended up being a perfect addition to their little family. Her story started out really sad, but she ended up with three loving dads, and a cast of characters around her who were all ready to protect her. I can't wait to read the next book in this series when it comes out!
Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang Us, Daddy by Lance Lansdale

Of the three Murder Daddy books out so far, this one was definitely the least unhinged, but also, in no way would I call it more normal 😆 As with the past two books, this one contained a relationship dynamic that was very unique and while it was less murder and more harmless manipulation than the others, that didn't make it boring by any means. This book was about emotional healing for all three men; Nate coming to terms with his demisexuality, and The Bens finally getting the Daddy they deserved were probably the biggest themes. I love that they got closure with Benito, and that they were able to eventually get Tatum's blessing, too. It wrapped things up really nicely for all three of them.

This was a really cute little story. It had some really melancholy undertones, but overall it was pretty sweet. I feel like the ending was a bit rushed, but I did really like how it ended with the ghosts all staying around in the human world.
