This was such an exciting and addictive read!! Tristan and Sara’s story pulled me in right from the start, and I couldn’t put it down. Their connection was intense, filled with passion, longing, and the perfect amount of tension. I loved how their relationship slowly developed, making every moment between them feel even more powerful.
Tristan was a strong, brooding character who had a commanding presence. He was mysterious, protective, and had a dangerous edge that made him so intriguing. Every time he appeared on the page, I was completely hooked. Sara, on the other hand, was such a brave and intelligent heroine. I admired her strength and determination as she navigated the challenges around her. She wasn’t just someone waiting to be saved—she had her own fire, which made her such a compelling character.
Their romance was beautifully written, with stolen moments, deep emotions, and undeniable chemistry. The way they understood and challenged each other made their love story even more special. The forbidden aspect of their relationship made everything even more exciting, and I was rooting for them the whole time.
Emily McIntire’s writing made the story come to life, with vivid descriptions and a gripping atmosphere that kept me engaged. The mix of romance, intrigue, and suspense was perfect, making every chapter feel exciting and meaningful. This book was such a thrilling escape, and I absolutely loved experiencing Tristan and Sara’s journey. I can’t wait to read more from this series.
Imagine coming up with the most interesting plot that could have blown ppl's mind and would have gagged them for eternity, but fuck it all up with bad execution and writing the most weird, insensitive and offensive shit.
Gareth n Kayden had so much potential, especially when they served the haters to lovers trope exactly as they were marketed but was ruined coz RK was too busy being petty than actually do them justice.
Had it not been for the first 30% of the book, this would hv served so hard.
The only good thing about this book was the cameos by other characters. OHOH THE MAIN EVENT WAS, VAUGHNYULIAN. The way they already got me on a chvkehold. I can't wait to read their book.😌 NIKOBRAN STAYS ON TOP. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. THEY R MY EVERYTHING. JEREMY, MY BABY BOY 😘😘 Reina, my queen 😘
I loved the family scenes with everyone, they were so amazing.
Ooooo also Kane Davenport 👀👀 I can't wait to read his book. He sounds 👀
ASHER CARSON, WHEN I CATCH U, MF. U ON SIGHT. NOT ONLY U WERE SHIT TO IR WIFE BUT NOW YO BOTH OF UR KIDS. COUNT UR DAYS. 🤨🤨
Now I want RK to put her pen down, go rehabilitate for atleast a year and maybe take up a few classes on how to execute a plot perfectly and how not to make women suffer and go through heinous things just for plot device and come back to write VaughnYulian's book. If she fucks up their book, she is done. 🤨
If you know me, you would know how much of a big cricket fan I am. And also I'm a big fan of Virat Kohli too. When I first saw the blurb for this book, I was so excited to read it. It's my first time reading a book with cricket in it and I loved it so much. Also knowing it was inspired by my favourite Australian cricketer, Glenn Maxwell and his wife, Vini. It made me even more excited. And add fake dating, small town, forced proximity and enemies to lovers tropes to the mix. It was just 😍
This was my first book by Aarti. V. Raman. And I devoured this book from start to finish. It was so good. I loved this book so much.
Queenie Madavan. The sassy desi girl. I love her so much. The way she was so strong and yet so vulnerable. Her insecurities are something so relatable to me. As a desi woman myself and the elder daughter, her confusion about her future, her sense of duty to her family was so understandable. And the way she stood for what was right. She was just amazing.
Noah Dumaine. OMG SWOON 🤌🏾🤌🏾 The man was just everything. The charming boy who held so much pain in the inside. I resonated with everything he was feeling. And the way he was so protective over his closed ones. I love him so much.
Queenie & Noah were just everything. I love their dynamics. I love their banters. I loved that tension. They just had me giggling the whole time. They were a bit of insta - love with fake dating but it worked out perfectly in the end.
I loved the side characters too. They were a perfect blend to the story. And how they all became like one big found family.
The writing was good. And even though I felt like the story dragged a bit at times, I really did enjoy and liked it a lot.
I'm definitely excited to check out the others work by the author. 😁
I just finished The Favourites, and I’m feeling a bit torn. The whole figure skating world mixed with drama and obsession sounded amazing, and the way it’s partly told through a fake documentary is a cool touch. It definitely kept me reading because I wanted to know what really happened between Kat and Heath.
The book starts strong, setting up their intense partnership and all the messed-up dynamics between them. Their relationship is complicated and full of passion, jealousy, and ambition, which makes for some pretty juicy drama. But after a while, it felt like the same issues kept repeating, and the story got kind of stuck. The middle part dragged for me, with lots of emotional chaos but not much actual progress.
I wanted more depth from the side characters, but the focus is so heavily on Kat and Heath’s toxic connection that everyone else feels like background noise.
The ending was okay but felt rushed and not as satisfying as I hoped. It leaves a lot of things open-ended, which can work sometimes, but here it just felt like the story didn’t fully deliver on its potential. Fargo’s writing style is good, and the story had potential, but it didn’t completely work for me.
I absolutely enjoyed The Kiss Countdown! It’s a fun, heartfelt romance with a fresh and unique setting that makes it stand out. The chemistry between the main characters is fantastic, and I loved watching their relationship develop in such a natural, slow-burn way. The space exploration theme adds an interesting backdrop without overpowering the romance, making it a perfect blend of science and love.
Sweethand was such a fun and engaging read! From the very first page, I was hooked by the vibrant setting of Trinidad, the enemies-to-lovers tension, and the delicious baking descriptions that had me craving sweets the entire time.
Cherisse and Keiran’s chemistry was undeniable. Their dynamic was fiery and full of witty banter, which made their journey from reluctant acquaintances to something more feel natural and rewarding. Cherisse is passionate, independent, and deeply dedicated to her craft as a pastry chef, while Keiran, a talented musician, has his own struggles with public perception. Watching them clash, challenge each other, and eventually open up was a joy to read.
I also loved the side characters, especially Cherisse’s close-knit friend group and family. Their interactions added so much depth and humor to the story. The wedding setting was the perfect backdrop for all the drama, romance, and growth that unfolded.
