I've never had this much fun reading a murder mystery before. The humour, the storytelling, the plot, the slow reveal, everything just hooked me in.

Super rushed and I have no idea what the hell was happening like 90% of the time. The story went to places I never expected when I read the first one and I don't think I like it. And let's not talk about the fate of our main characters.

Thorn and Ophelia have swiftly become my favourite couple. I applaud Dabos for writing the slowest slow burn romance I've ever read. They have single-handedly agitate me and made me squeal with the littlest glance that warmed my heart at 3 AM. The true grumpy x sunshine, enemies to lovers, slow burn romance.

This ship aside. As much as I live reading about another ark and family spirit. I enjoyed the characters from the Pole more. I find the new characters in this books very 2 dimensional compared to the 1st & 2nd book. They're very much just there most of the time except for maybe 2 new characters that stood out for me. The new POV chapter was a much needed breath-of-fresh air that brought excitement and insight to this book. Wishing for it to continue in the 4th book.

Lastly, WHAT'S WITH THAT CLIFFHANGER. I'm glad I don't have to wait for the next book.
