Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood

I enjoyed one or two Ali Hazelwood books. I started with Bride which might have been a mistake because it was by far the weirdest one. I thought it was an exaggeration that everyone of her books was the same, but no. They are copy paste jobs. I don’t think I’ll try another for a minute.

Extremely well researched and very interesting. Ted Mosby ass book thou. It was astounding how quickly this monumental event was put together and it puts the rapid development of the era into perspective. But if I have to hear one more complaint from Olmsted about those electric boats, I swear. The sections about H H Holmes are sort of there. Also well researched and horrifying, but it just feels oddly juxtaposed. “ The greatest feats and advancements of the modern world are on display on the shores of Lake Michigan…… and over here this guys is murdering people like never before.” Was pancake mix worth it?
TLDR; it’s not a true crime book, it’s an architecture book with a murder subplot.
