This was a good ending to the series, but it was drawn out a little. The killer was a bit of a surprise but I'm not sure I liked who it was to be honest. I also felt very bad for Adrian (which is why I'm jumping right into the Bloodlines series).

I read many different opinions of this book but I have to say that I did like it. Adrian was one of my favorite characters from The Vampire Academy series and I'm happy to see more of him here. Sydney did annoy me at times but I had to get used to her mindset and then it made sense. I did wish she had a little bit of a romantic story line (I was kinda of rooting for Trey to ask her out). I do know that she gets one and it did start a little in this book but I wanted the competition.

Good installment. I really do like Sydney and Adrian. The rest of the characters are great with the exception of possibly Jill. I know she is young but she literally jumps from boy to boy to boy and they all seem to love her. While the Vampire Academy had good romance storylines for secondary characters, that wasn't what all the side characters had going on and I feel that that is the only storyline Jill has (indecisiveness with boys).

I like where the series is going. Sydney is really growing and challenging herself, which makes the read interesting. I'm happy the relationship between Sydney and Adrian is progressing and not stalling out or stretching the will they or won't they. Marcus is a nice addition although Jill's romantic life is still clawing.

This is the installment that I have liked the most in the series so far but it still has some things that annoyed me. I know that Adrian is considered a sexual person but there was a bit too much of him and Sydney being all over each other once they sleep together. I get it, you're want to keep doing it but there could have been more going on that just that towards the end. But I still like the book a lot. And Zoey is annoying and evil. All I have to say on that!

This was a very good installment. I liked how the book had a good mix of action and emotion. Usually when the main characters are separated I don't like the story as much, but it worked here. It might have helped that the characters that annoy me the most weren't around as much. Excited to see how this all ends.

This review will not only be on The Ruby Circle but the series as a whole. While reading this series, I felt as though I liked it more than Vampire Academy, mainly because I liked Sydney more than Rose at times and adored Adrian. But, once I finished The Ruby Circle I realized that while I liked the characters more I didn't like the plots more. There were too many secondary characters that all were crammed into the last book and some that were even cut out (where were you Angeline??). Plus, the romance between Sydney and Adrian fell flat for me. I loved them when it was a will they/won't they but once they get together, the just stay together. Aside from physical distance and personal demons, they are a strong couple though the last few books. I really wanted to see Sydney actually brainwashed by the Alchemists and see how Adrian figures out how to get her back mentally. There was also the little thing of Adrian loosing his edge in the last book.
As for The Ruby Circle standing alone, the plot was way too fast for me. Everything happened so quickly that I felt like I was watching a movie on fast forward. It suffered from too much going on with too many connections. Why would the Warriors play nice with Alicia? Everything was too convenient to have a nice happy ending. All in all, the book was a bit of a let down.

It was a quick read but much the same as Divergent in that the writing style was not my favorite. The ending, however, makes it a worthwhile read. Excited to see what they do with the movie. I'm not ashamed to say that I liked the movie Divergent better than the book so let's see if I do the same here.

I really liked this book. The narrative voice was very comfortable and the plot line had me wanting to read more. This is the type of book I wish had been out when I was in high school. It is honest and you can tell it was written by someone who was a teenager at the time. There were a few times when my writer's mind took over and I wanted to change things but I liked the book enough that I will keep it in my library and even pass it around. It was like watching a great 80s/90s teen movie!
