Excellent second installment, but sheesh if it’s not violent af. More deaths than GoT, and with characters I actually care about??

Star off for the denouement. I get the instinct but I don’t think it was needed. Everything till the last 5% was fun and flowed well and worked really well!

Really really liked it—as someone currently trying to live in a language other than my native one, I loved the backdrop of language throughout. Thought the fact that she’s used the like historical violent external tension between the English and the French as a way to foil the internal and individual tension of the Irish residents. Thought the interspersed dialogue and inner monologue and narration was clever for voice. The end was *too sad* but the read was worth it

Very fun very cute as all of Jasmine Guillory’s books are-I’ll read whatever she writes, and this was enjoyable, but I think the Disney tales retold construct is not for me

Dug it, but definitely could have been a little shorter.
