okay i don’t know what this says about me but honestly the main character was a mood; i would too love to sleep for a whole year to wake up renewed.
was she a bit annoying and ungrateful? absolutely yes, but we support flawed character in this household.

the satire of how freely drugs/medications get prescribed really stood out.

didn’t really get why 9/11 was involved tbh-

as a lost girl in her early twenties who also enjoys writing, i relate to Isa on so many levels.
it portrays the party life in new york and the carefreeness of two girls.
it really felt like a happy hour treat <33

my expectations for this book were extremely high (thanks everyone on the internet) and even if the first part was actually meeting these high expectations i had, the other half kind of let me down.
the first half of this book really inspired me, i felt like i could be doing whatever i wanted.
i really enjoyed the writing style and how friendship was on a certain level a character itself.

marx best character hands down.

i think i will need several days to process what i’ve just read.
you don’t know what’s real and what’s not and reading this book felt like having a bad fever dream.
also lowkey felt samantha’s feeling of being lost and alone.
