I love a heroine that can fight for herself!

Each of the boys has a different kind of relationship with Rue and that really made the story feel a lot more. The development in their relationships was really well written.

And that ending!

THAT ENDING! As said in EJ's group, I need book 2 like today!!!!

Short but steamy.

I would have like more preamble to the story and a little bit more substance. But as a short story it's quick good read.

An exciting read with a more realistic view of the underworld and its consequences.

Spice 2/5

I enjoyed the book and the chemistry between Nicole and Shane. I like how Shane was portrayed in a more realistic light rather than someone who always had the answer.

However, I can't help but wish that there was more clarity over Gio or at least more to his story, but who knows, he might have his own book.

If you're up for truly morally gray MMC and FMC then this is the one.

At first, I kept wondering where the story was headed and I contemplated rushing my read but I'm glad I didn't.

The ending was worth it. It was a twist I didn't expect but it let me satisfied in the end.

This book truly moved me!

One of my top reads for 2024 and I just gobbled it up.

I loved how the author focused on the growth of both characters and the growth of their relationship. I also appreciated how they were older and in the middle of their careers.

I couldn't put the book down at all.

Great read, though it felt like it was quite long with a lot of twists that felt like an attempt to keep readers engaged.

I enjoyed how it was written and how it did well as a standalone.

Spicy and sweet all rolled into one with hidden identities into play.

The downside is the title and story match, that's all I'll say.

Mel is my new fave and this book ended too soon!

Utterly enjoyed the relationship between Cade, Mel, and Dec!

Among the three of them, I absolutely loved Mel's energy and how she found herself with Cade and Dec.

The relationship between Cade and Dec is just precious. This book is so well written and I'm just hooked on everything Brittanee writes!

Throughly enjoyed this book and I regret delaying reading it.

The best part of a second chance romance to me is when we find out what tore them apart and this book did it quite well.

My only critic for this book is that the first time Nate and Melinda meet I was expecting a little bit more emotion.

This book made me cry and feel appreciated.

I did not expect it from this book but it delivered more than I wanted.

On top of the amazing romance this book sent me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. As someone with dyslexia I felt represented, I also felt like Finley's relationship with everyone who cared about her struck a chord with me.

I felt like I could really relate to this book.

It made me want to fine my Zach, if he's out there.

Easily my top 1 or 2 read this year.

This book makes you face the fact that relationships take both parties working on it.

It starts where most books end, after the happily ever after.

I enjoyed how real their issues felt and how well it respected mental health and the need to seek help.
