This book reads like a love letter. Maybe it was the fact that it was written in second person, something that seems to create an intimacy between author and reader, while also forcing the reader to slow down-- using a point of view that novels are not often written in. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something slow, intimate, and beautiful.

Okay we started off really strong, I loved it at much as I loved the first one. The spicy scenes chefs kiss, the banter chefs kiss, the whole spy subplot chefs kiss  BUT
at first when Finn was doing is whole redemption arc with Effie at the farm I was like awww (the sunflower scene is special to me) but like I can’t describe my disappointment when he saw Effie’s father punching her in the stomach and then kicked her out the way he did. Like there was no reason and it ruined like the rest of the book for me.
Anyways if I pretend this book stopped at chapter 19 10/10 had a great time!

Just a really nice, sweet, spicy story, had a good time. And I loved the dynamic between Joy and Malachi
