This book depicts a plane crashing into a nuclear plant. I do not believe anyone on the plane survive and there are descriptions of the plane/people found. There are also descriptions of how the plane impacted folks on the ground. The plane crash happens in the first chapter.
Additionally, this book discusses the race to prevent a nuclear meltdown and has discussion of radiation injury/burns.

I did a read/listen combo. I loved hearing the author read her poetry.
Some of her poems hit so hard. My favs were Have Hope, Who Are You, Idyllic, Pockets of Light and my favorite - I do not need you.
I read this on a red eye back from Dc to PDX. I almost cried at some of the words.

I’m fascinated by forsenic parapsychology field discussed in this book - I didn’t know about it.
I found some of the graphic novel a bit text heavy and wish they had more stretches of picture only panels.
I loved the main character Joy. While Joy is a trans woman - this story isn’t about her coming out or transition. There are hints at that but I love that she just gets to be a fully formed human being who focuses a bit too much on her work and has a cute girlfriend who calls her wombat!
