I enjoyed! Dare I say I enjoyed this more than just kids ?!(‘ I found her endeavors to be fun and witty I liked reading about her travels and her thoughts. I don’t particularly love Patti smith I don’t enjoy her as a person but I liked this book and I liked when she said it’s not easy to write about nothing bc that was so real

As any collection of work some pieces are better and some fall flat
For the most part I really enjoyed this even though I don’t read poetry a ton so this was nice despite knowing that some I would’ve liked better if a few things had been tweaked or if the structure had been a little different. The poems do have a satisfying way of sounding nice and that’s always enjoyable

Truly very touching and beautiful, extremely easy to read and get through probably could finish in 1 sitting if i wasn’t busssyyyyyy. Explores friendship and relationships and grief in an unique way and i found that to be memorable, the writing style isn’t all too interesting but i find it to work with the plot and the structure of the book so I didn’t mind

I was really confused with the plot for maybe the first part of the book and that confusion stayed for a lot of my reading experience which I feel dampened the book. I wasn’t a big fan of the plot, i was a big fan of her writing style and use of repetition and things of the sort. I think if I had read this at a time where my brain was more focused and there was less going on in my life it would’ve been more enjoyable and I would’ve liked it a lot more. I did still enjoy it and there were parts where I understood what was going on but I felt myself only feeling like I had an idea of what was going on most of the time. Anyways I’m looking forward to reading more of her works in the foreseeable future

The more I think about this book the less I like it. I enjoyed reading it because I was addicted and I haven’t wanted to read a book so fast in a while but also the way she depicts being fat is so… not it. And like I understand that’s how a disordered brain works and it’s realistic but then her using Miriam as like some pawn or whatever was unsavory 🙄
Regardless it was addicting to read in the way sally rooney books are addicting to read like u think abt it bc you’re interested in what these shitty characters will do next!
