That ending I’m quaking in my boots!!!!! Rediscovering this series in my late 20s after only reading the OG Percy Jackson books and the first heroes of Olympus book as a kid has been so much fun and I am jumping into the next one immediately :’)

I this up because it was available from the lib and thought it would be a fun way to recap the first book while watching the series come out, but this was a waste!! I know these are middle grade books and I’m almost 30 but they took so much nuance and context out of the story that the book became flat and dull
