Lore by Alexandra Bracken

I absolutely loved this story. In my mind I definitely aged up the characters to be in their mid to early twenties instead of their late teens early twenties and I really feel that it didn't change the story for me at all. My favorite part about this book was the well written action scenes and the amazing banter between the character.

Hallmark movie meets murder mystery. Just what I needed to get me out of my ready slump! Super fun and the food in the book made me so hungry.

The art work is exceptional. The legend left me wanting more though.

This is the first time I've been able to successfully guess who the bad guy is! While I did enjoy this book and the previous books I've read by Riley Sager, I feel like his main characters are eerily similar and he follows a plot equation for every book. Don't get me wrong, I ate it up still.

I'm running to the bookstore after work to immediately buy and start the next book! I really enjoyed this story and this world. My mind made strong connections between this book and the newest star wars trilogy. The darkling felt very much like kylo ren and alina felt like rey. Needless to say, I loved it because of that!
Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo

I'm still collecting my emotions after that ending! I'm so overly attached to nearly all of these characters that if something happens I might carry a physical grief with me. The battle scene rivals that of the battle of Hogwarts. I love that for a second time, Mal couldn't let Alina die to save the country. He won't let her be a martyr. I am in agony over Genya. I'm honestly not ready to talk about it
