fuck. fuck. fuck. this is the first book of 2019 that had me in tears. the ending—though it wasn’t as i had imagined—was absolutely beautiful. AND as a bonus this book will cause an existential crisis, which is just wonderful (fuck, i am going insane). emily henry is a truly astounding writer, and i would definitely recommend reading ALL of her books.

okay, this is the greatest representation of homeschoolers i have ever seen. obviously, there are plenty of cliches about being homeschooled—as represented in the beginning of the book—but literally NONE of us, my self included, are like that (unless you're in a cult, which is chill too).

i loved the message in this book. i love the representation of depression, the black slug that eats away your happiness is a perfect description. however, it felt like the author was romanticizing mental illness, which is the only problem i have.
