mitsumi handled everything so well. πŸ₯Ή
plus the girls knowing something's wrong, they're the most healthy friend group i've ever witnessed.

i honestly figured that it wouldn't work out, at least for right now, simply because shima has a lot of issues. GET THAT BOY INTO THERAPY! regardless, he's so well written. had to sit there for a few minutes to process

also love ujie.. i'm so glad he's opening up

I was super excited for this book to release and am so glad that it exceeded my expectations.

i would've finished it in a day if i didn't have a migraine, but the story really grips you and it's hard to put it down (i had a dream about finishing the book if that says anything lol). the composition of the cover is absolutely gorgeous, like absolutely jaw-dropping. the pacing is great. i think the only thing i would even begin to complain about is the use of "toxic", since it wasn't (as far as i know) used metaphorically until the early 20th century, but it's literally a one time occurrence and not something that effects anything in the book, the word choice other that that was phenomenal. the way that oliver's dysphoria is portrayed is so realistic and honestly rather breathtaking that i can actually see myself in oliver but it's not too surprising since novoa is transmasculine and has most likely experienced similar things. darcy and oliver's relationship is incredibly romantic and i adore them (i was kicking my feet and giggling).

the historical note at the end is really what solidified this as a 5β˜… book for me due to the fact that the author directly addresses some inaccuracies or things that could pose as a problem to oliver and the bennet family.

misaki just keeps taking wins with her writing oh my god

i love yuzu and mako's relationship (PLEASE GET THEM TOGETHER THEY'RE SO CUTE 😭). and shima standing up for himself was SO good, i love the fact that he was really introspecting even if it caused him to forget his lines for the play. i adore the sisterhood between mika and nao <3
so well written, so engaging. also takamine and her being able to pull 5 guys is so funny 😭
also i fucking hate that bitch ririka it is on sight, i don't think she's redeemable at all. she blames everyone else for her problems and is like physically abusive. also her calling shima a narcissist, πŸ’€ girl... please go to a psychiatrist.
