one thing you can always count on with a riley sager book is it will make you feel something… typically it’s rage… but not this time… well-played sager

WOW. silly to say this but the shining is a great book who would have thought.
like the movie is good but there is something about having danny and jack’s internal monologues that just elevates the story

“i’m just five!” he cried to some half-felt presence in the room. “doesn’t it make a difference that i’m just five?”

disappointing
stop making slasher books too meta for their own good

the biggest threat that we as a nation are facing is mothers who think too highly of their sons

(also if i edited this book i would have told the author that 3/5 of this family having tragic car crash backstories is too many)
