The Cruel Prince by Holly Black

I loved this book. It was whimsical and magical but in a darker way. Holly Black’s writing style is one of my favorites. There is no spice and very little romance for anyone wondering, but I loved the characters and their depth. I can’t wait to read book 2.
Nightbane by Alex Aster

4.5 ⭐️ I had the best time reading this book. It brought me back to being torn between Team Edward or Team Jacob, or loving both Stefan and Damon. The romance in this book is so good. I love a good love triangle, and I was genuinely invested in these characters. I love dual timeline too, which Nightbane had. Overall if you like YA romanticies, I would recommend this series. Nightbane was even better than Lightlark.
The Inmate by Freida McFadden

I will start out by saying I listened to this on audio. It’s definitely another twisty thriller, where I predicted one part of the twist, but definitely not what was disclosed in the epilogue. The only thing I wish there was more was more insight at the prison, it was dual timeline and most of the story took place 11 years ago, when the main characters were in high school. Overall I would recommend this book, especially on audio. It was such a quick listen.
