A good YA book dealing with parent loss. The idea of two rival schools having to combine is fun! I bet the principal regrets skimping on security cameras with all the pranks the kids play. It’s got a smidge of crush/ light romance perfect for this genre.

Sage is an ass and the narrators are pretty bad.

I love Dr Rath and this genre for her. I loved the attention to detail especially since I don’t know that much about Finnish mythology.
If you like any Hades and Persephone retellings you might like this. If you have read A Fate Inked In Blood and want MORE (similar) mythology pick this up for sure. I’d highly suggest the audiobook for all the correct pronunciations.

What a good story! It really gave me outlander vibes with the time travel but without the historical context. I liked how the MMC didn’t instantly fall back in love with FMC. I’d say there is a smidge of a twist at the end that I didn’t see coming. This is a really good intro into magical realism if you’ve never tried the genre. It’s pretty easy to follow and clearly written.

It’s not bad, just not great. The plot gets dull in the middle and really picks up at the end. The sub plot of her mom and the lost aunt and the divorce was meh. The last chapter was meh. I don’t like how the grief was handled.

I am so glad I borrowed this from Libby. I can’t wait to explore this new part of the Rubyverse. This was so sweet and solidly spicy like you’d expect from Ruby. I hope we get to see more of the farm world refugees.

I wanted to DNF this but it started to pick up towards the middle. I just can’t get over the image of nuns teaching master level self defense. It is a dark, bdsm, age gap romance with STRONG catholic/ religious themes. I’ll read the next book because a book bestie loves them.

This is a fast read at just 5 hrs and I wish it were longer. The POVs feel rushed- yes, that’s to be expected with so short of a book and especially with the amount of characters. It’s cute and I loved the  writing. The FMCs were all relatable  in some aspect.
