This one has been on my list for so long, and I'm really glad I waited until I got into audiobooks to start it - the audio was wonderful and Anna-Maria Nabirye was a perfect narrator! This novel follows the lives of 12 people, but I felt like I got to know each of them just as well in their chapters as I would have reading a book about one person. This novel is a beautiful exploration of gender constructs, feminism, and sexuality that confronts conflicting beliefs between characters that correspond to sentiments we hear every day. While this book covers some heavy subjects, it was also really fun to read. I read it aloud to my partner & we both agreed that it was more fun to get into the story together. Some things didn’t work for me but overall it was a delightful, full-of-heart rom com.
