Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell

What a roller coaster! I guessed the twist about halfway through, but it still kept me hooked until the very end. Definitely an interesting and gripping read!
Without Merit by Colleen Hoover

This book dives deep into family struggles, self-growth, and some really important life issues. I appreciate how Colleen doesn’t shy away from uncomfortable subjects- it’s raw, honest, and thought-provoking. I can understand why her books aren’t for everyone, but for me, that’s what makes them stand out. This story had me feeling all the emotions.
Holidays on Ice by David Sedaris

Honestly, it wasn’t my vibe. I only liked a few of the stories, and the humor just didn’t land for me. It also hasn’t aged well, which didn’t help.

This book was nothing like I was expecting. 😳 I don’t want to say too much and risk spoilers, but let’s just say I’m glad it was a short read. 😂 This one just didn’t quite hit the mark for me.
The Maid by Nita Prose

Honestly, I spent most of the book just feeling bad for Molly. 😔 I figured out the whodunit pretty quickly, so I was hoping for a bigger twist at the end. That said, it was a quick, easy read, and I can see why it’s popular for a light mystery.

Omg, I loved this book so much!! 🥹 The oral history style was so unique… it literally felt like listening to a podcast or sitting in the room with the band while they told their story. I was so captivated and ugh, I could just feel all their emotions. This book completely blew me away. Is the streaming series worth a watch?! 👀
Always to Be Found by J. S. Gazaille

This book had everything! Romance, spice, mystery, thrills and even some life lessons snuck in there. I couldn’t put it down, it was such a fun read! Oh, and the cover art? Absolutely gorgeous. Huge thanks to the author for sending me a copy, I loved every second of it!
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

This is usually not my genre, but I’m glad I gave it a try. It started off pretty slow, but things finally picked up about halfway through. It was beautifully written and a lot of thought provoking situations, although a lot was rather predictable. It just didn’t live up to the hype for me.
The Boyfriend by Freida McFadden

I definitely thought I had it all figured out, but in true Freida fashion, she threw in twists that blindsided me.

I couldn’t have picked it up at a better time. 💙 It felt like a refresher of everything I’ve learned from my own therapist, but with new insights and reminders that hit home in different ways. 🙏🏼 There were so many moments that resonated with me, I ended up highlighting all over the place! Here are a few favorites that stood out most. ✨
