Boring. Annoying characters.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 10%.
The plot was just…not good. Like girl, focus on your business not this half-baked espionage plan.

I loooved the first in this series, but this one was just average for me. I am not a fan of Declan.

I like Cal, but this one wasn’t quite as good as the first book.

It was a bit too long for no reason, and I didn’t care for Lana.

But we did go on such a journey with the characters that I enjoyed, and I loved the glimpses at the other Kanes and Iris and Zahra.

Every moment of this was a joy and the ending was absolutely perfect. 🥹

This was fun. Once it got more “action-y” though, I lost some interest. I would have loved a “cozy fantasy story” in this book’s setting, which is totally not right for this book — so I have to just say this wasn’t quite for me, but fun nonetheless.

This was just a mess. I’ll give it 1.5 since it held my interest in some parts, I guess. 🥴
