i am floored! it was such an amazing and engaging read!
i’ve been eyeing this book for some time, and i’m so glad that i finally decided to indulge myself.
evelyn hugo is such an iconic character. she is impossible to forget!
also i’m beaming at the bisexual representation, my heart swelled reading about evelyn and celia’s love story.
i’m simply not sure how else to end this, but this is now one of my favourite books!

it’s always nice to reread the beloved series, especially in the audio format. stephen fry is a delight! <3
the last book is filled with grief and hope at the same time. it was hard to contain my tears while i was listening to the book at work.
i suppose it’s high time i reread the books physically next year, the illustrated edition it is! :)

i started this book, barely read a page and immediately thought “am i actually ready for this?”. this kind of writing you need to process and appreciate properly!

ocean vuong is simply outstanding! or i just rarely encounter good books these days. it’s giving me sad nostalgia, vivid images in my head, impossible to look away from the text, i want it to engulf me.

this book is so amazing, impossible to forget and will shatter your heart.

I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

let’s talk about a well written memoir!!! jennette, please write more books!

i just wanna insert this passage here that made me say “go off, bestie!”:

“Why do we romanticize the dead? Why can’t we be honest about them? Especially moms. They’re the most romanticized of anyone.
Moms are saints. Angels by merely existing. NO ONE could possibly understand what it’s like to be a mom. Men will never understand.
Women with no children will never understand. No one but moms know the hardship of motherhood, and we non-moms must heap nothing but praise upon moms because we lowly, pitiful non-moms are mere peasants compared to the goddesses we call mothers.”

literally, the gospel truth, thank you!
