Moderate: Confinement, Self harm, Torture, Violence, Blood, Medical content, Death of parent, Sexual harassment, Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Rape, Alcohol, Classism
Graphic: Cancer, Grief, Religious bigotry, Death of parent, Alcohol
Graphic: Confinement, Death, Domestic abuse, Emotional abuse, Gore, Physical abuse, Sexual content, Torture, Blood, Trafficking, Kidnapping, Medical trauma, Death of parent, Murder
I smiled the whole time while reading this <3
They both are just the sweetest and soo respectfull too one another. The queere representation is just so positive and the families are so caring.. I may have shed a tear while reading the scene with his mother :D (iykyk)
I didnt rate the first one that high because there isnt that much time too get to know the characters but now I am the biggest fangirl <3 SO excited to read the next one!! Highly recommend!
Minor: Bullying, Cursing, Homophobia, Outing, Toxic friendship
I am obsessed with fantasy that includes witches lately and Serpent & Dove surely did deliver.
I love the marriage out of convenience/ forced marriage trope because it mostly leads to close proximity and only one bed!
Many of my favorite tropes were present and so I already loved the book for that!
Regarding to the plot it was always keep exciting and mysterious and imo not predictable! That is one of my main icks with books but with this one I did not predict the ending the least!
Reid and Lou have a great chemistry from the beginning throughout their highs and lows.
I am really excited to read the next book :)
I highly recommend reading this if you like the same tropes as me!
Moderate: Emotional abuse, Gore, Hate crime, Physical abuse, Toxic relationship, Violence, Blood, Kidnapping, Religious bigotry, Murder, War
Minor: Vomit, Suicide attempt, Toxic friendship
I loved every second of this book!!
First of all, I really liked that the autor/the publisher included a page for content warnings/triggers. IMO every book should have that!
Also I really enjoyed the diverse characters instead of the usual petite brunette and dark haired jacked up guy (still love these books too obvi) and the chronic illess rep.
I absolutely adored there bickering, it was hilarious! In general they had great chemistry and when it comes to plot, It was actually not the least predictable! That´s realy rare imo, especially in romance novels.
All in all it was an absolute joy reading this and I highly recommend it to everyone! Can´t wait to read the rest of the series!!
Graphic: Chronic illness
Moderate: Domestic abuse, Drug use, Emotional abuse
I need the next one immediately.
I need more of Wrath in the next book oh boy. I do love him 😌 okay going to buy kindom of the cursed now byyyeee 😂
I loved the treasure hunting/pirates/sirens plot. The only thing why it’s not a 5 star read to me is, because the plot was very predictable. I enjoyed it nonetheless.
