American Vampire, Volume 3 by Scott Snyder
4.0
It shouldn't have taken me long to read this graphic novel, but time constraints and other factors dictated my ability to finish reading the next chapter of American Vampire. Seeing how this volume would be focusing on World War ll, I already expected a big of a drag interest in my part since I'm not a fan of reading about the war. I was more interested in the Survival of the Fittest storyline, because I'm actually a fan of side stories/spinoffs, but surprisingly I enjoyed Pearl and Henry's WWII story waaaaayy better than I did Felicia and Cash's romp with the vamp Nazis. At least at first.
"Survival of the Fittest" was kind of slow at first, but the story picked up once the surprise twist (the very first one) was revealed. This is the only reason the entire volume is lacking a star from me. Other than that, both stories had surprise endings and sent me headfirst into Volume Four, which I'm currently reading.
