Cute but ultimately unsatisfying. 100% yearning, 0% culmination of the core romance. Feels like the prologue to where the story really begins!

Sublime worldbuilding, typically of Shannon's writing, that enables you to feel fully transported into its pages. I couldn't' put it down.

I was so many years late to reading this classic but could instantly appreciate why so many have recommended it over the years. A fascinating thought experiment, but one that deals chiefly in problems and leaves no energy for optimism or solutions.

Fun but lacking in many areas, especially worldbuilding and character development. There was also a bit of a strange analogue between the MC having 'half a soul' and traits associated with autism which felt uncomfortable.
