The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
2.0
I tried to get into this book but I sadly just think it wasn't for me. There was the fact I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting but other than that there wasn't any key points I particularly liked other than the mystery around the murder of Alicia's husband. The ending really confused me to the point I kept having to reread the last few pages just to work out what the twist actually was (and I'm not too sure I'm actually right in what I think)

I was expecting to but I really enjoyed this book. I was absolutely hooked and the shirt chapters made me fly through. I was invested in Tara's life as well as the mystery surrounding her history and how it unravels through the book. I also liked the characters and how invested I got in their lives and stories. However I was a little confused with the ending and I'm not really sure how it ended

I originally got this book because I mistook it for another but I am so glad I did because I loved every second of this book. I thought that the writing was beautiful and the plot had me hooked, wanting to know what really happened with Al. I loved the characters and really felt for them throughout, wanting them to get their happy endings

The premise of this book is what drew me to this book and I'm very glad it did because I really enjoyed my experience reading this. I liked how the book made you think about what was going on both in Claire's life as well as the mothers groups opinions. That being said I also loved how it made me feel towards the opinions as well as how I cared about the characters and their lives and experiences

Sadly I didn't love this book as much as I did the first, but I did really like it. Lucie and Brett were just as amazing characters as I remember them being and I loved them and their dynamic as well as the ups and downs they went through and overcame. I also liked how the book focused on topics such as mental health and how it was a big part of the plot. However I do feel the book took a while to actually get going and once it did it was a bit rushed for my liking
A Merry Little Meet Cute by Sierra Simone, Julie Murphy

For me this book seemed to drag a little too much sadly, because I really wanted to enjoy this book. Saying that I did like the book and think that the premise was super cute as well as the characters and they're dynamic and how their relationship developed throughout

The book took a little while for me to get into at first but I really did love it once I did! I loved the enemies to lovers dynamic that Nina Tristan had throughout as well as the threat of brothers best friend and how it could affect their relationship. It was super cozy and absolutely perfect as a Christmas read

I only really managed to get into the book at around the halfway point, but when I Did I was hooked! The characters to me weren't too engaging but I did enjoy the complex stories that they held. I also liked the twists and turns throughout and the rollercoaster of emotions the book put me through, especially the ending and how open it's left for the reader

I found that this book was alright. I was gripped for both the beginning and end of the book, however I really didn't feel engaged for the midsection of the book sadly. I really enjoyed the suspense the book had throughout as well as the constant questions the book left the reader asking. The characters I loved and I loved trying to work out the mystery of it all

This book was incredible!! I loved all the characters dynamics and stories as well as violet and xadens relationship and how are progressed through the book. The suspense towards the end of the book was insane, especially the last line of the book! It did take me a few chapters to get into the book but I absolutely loved the world and the magic elements it had, and especially loved the dragons!
