it was a nice read, but nothing too much. the plot was interesting as well as the characters, but I'm not really a fan of insta love. that cliffhanger though.... I will definitely continue this series though

omg, i didnt thought this would be a good read for me, but it was THE read.
the diversity, the overcoming, the fact that the abuse was so well treated, .... this was honestly amazing. it even made me tear up. hannah and mara were such strong characters and the story represented mara's thoughts about hannah and his brother perfectly. charlie's story was marvelous and so was alex. definetely a 5 stars read.

didn't love it, didn't hate it. ig I'm in the middle.
the mc was a little bit insufferable throughout the entire book and extremely selfish and the love triangle was also a bit awful. furthermore, secondary characters did not add anything to the plot and the writing was very cringy and rushed at some points. I mean, they would be like arguing about a dead body and then they kissed. like out of nowhere.
nonetheless, the plot seems interesting and I really liked how this superlative sexism was pictured despite making me mad bc how unfair it is. however, it was such a shame that such a feminist prompt had such awful representation. the women in this book were awfully written and full of stereotypes despite the fact that this book was about empowering women.
the reason why I found myself reading this book was the fact that this is the reading we had to do for this weekend's book club reunion, so I imagine I will be continuing the series. nonetheless, a lot of things in this book could be better.

holy shit.
holy fucking shit.
this was....ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.
I think the only reason why I'm not giving this book 5 stars is that I felt like something was missing for it reaching that ranking. however, this was MARVELOUS.
I entered this book with almost no expectations bc even though tvd was very good at the beginning, I thought it ended up being very lost at the end and that a second book was not necessary. nonetheless, this book was way better than the previous one. the angsty and the I-have-to-hate-you-but-I-love you Roma was like super hot and the tension with Juliette.....absolutely showstopping. however, I felt like the monsters thing was a bit unnecessary and the mission Roma and Juliette made to the near city was basically nonsense for the plot. Mars and Ben were amazing and so was Celia's and rosalind's storylines. the end was absolutely heart breaking but I also felt that the epilogue needed to be focused on Alisa and Chloe did that very very well.
overall, the writing here was way less tedious than in tvd (thanks god) but still gorgeous and this book was very very nice. just that, that something was missing and the fact that this felt like the monsters were just there to connect the two books.

the only reason im not giving this book 5 stars is that I felt like I didn't like it besides I loved it. I know is weird. its like it was amazing but at the same time it made me so furious because it was unfair.
on the other hand, this is clearly a master piece. it really leaves you with a lot to think about how power corrupts everything. I hated napoleon with my whole soul and, even if snowball was mistreated, he wasn't a good leader neither. however, I think I will be writing an entire essay about this book.

okay soo....this was a rollercoaster. the angst, the tension between Roma and Juliette, the writing style.....ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. such a shame that it was so slow that it was basically boring at the end. I really liked the beginning and I didnt expected who was the creator of the madness at all...but there was a point that it felt too boring. it also felt a bit rushed at the end and I didnt like how the author unmade every single character development she made throughout the book. I also felt like she forced a lot the end so there could be a second part....I didnt like that, no. the duology should have finished here and just be a autoconclusive book. original idea, bad executed at some points. however, it was, indeed a nice book and a beautiful  written one. I will definitively reading the next book.

omg, this book was awful.
the plot was terrible and incoherent and there was a lot of mysoginy. she literally gets assaulted and the next chapter they are having s3x????? AND HE MAKES HER APOLOGIZE FOR BEING ASSAULTED???? this was so insensible and awful that I cant even describe it. and it wasn't even that spicy.
