A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson
4.25
This was cool! I really enjoyed the format of the story, and the mystery kept me guessing all the way until the end. I was a little disappointed that my farfetched theory proved to be just that though, lol. I really thought I had it!
Dark Restraint by Katee Robert

I adore this series, but this was not my fav pairing. They felt kind of underwhelming. At the same time, though, I did enjoy them together! Excited for the next one!!
Nona the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir

I'll admit it: most of this book went over my head. I had to look up a summary of the events, lol. So this is my least favorite out of the series so far, but I think I'll like it better with a reread sometime in the future.

I loved the story and the writing, as always, but I was not quite sold on the romance in this one. The story definitely picked up towards the end, that's when it got really exciting! But, throughout the entire book I was just not shipping the two love interests?? Idk I felt like there was no reason for Shane to be into Marguerite at all, apart from her physical appearance, and vice versa. The relationship was cute and all, but I didn't see any reason for it to become a relationship in the first place lol. Anyways, I am SO excited for the next one omg. I hope it is published ASAP!
Den lange uken. En grenseløs reise i Midtøsten by Arild I. Olsson
5.0
En veldig god bok om hvordan livet i Midtøsten ser ut på bakkenivå. Her får vi bli kjent med og følge livene til mennesker i en krigsrammet region. Lettlest, spennende, til tider morsom, og ikke minst: viktig. Anbefales!
Borgerlønn by Ingeborg Eliassen, Sven Egil Omdal
4.5
Sweet Surrender by Viano Oniomoh
5.0
10/10. 15/10. This book deals with some heavy themes, such as religious trauma and stalking, so read up on the trigger warnings before reading this. I loved the first book Oniomoh wrote about a person contacting a demon for help, so it was no surprise that I loved the second one as well. Sweet, spicy, heartwarming, heartbreaking, everything! I'm going to read my way through Oniomoh's publications now.
White Tears/Brown Scars: How White Feminism Betrays Women of Color by Ruby Hamad
5.0
Phenomenal! I listened to the audiobook of this, but I already know I am getting a physical copy as well. This book explains how white women weaponize the tears of The Damsel in Distress, and how it impacts brown and black women by gaslighting them, villainizing them, turning the conversation away from the topic at hand, and even by resulting in the brown/black woman losing her job or being ostracized. This should be read by every white women who has ever called herself a feminist. According to Hamad, there is and cannot be a sisterhood until we reckon with our history as the white oppressors and the female version of white supremacy. The book also explains how a lot of stereotypes came to be, and their connections to history, such as Princess Pocahontas, the Lewd Jezebel, the Dragon Ladies, the Exotic Orientals, etc, which was very enlightening to me. I highly recommend reading this!
The Resort by Ana Ashley
3.5
You know those "stuff your e-reader day"-books? Yeah lmao. This is one of those. I honestly really liked it! If not for the rough start, I might have ended up loving it too. However, the very beginning of the book set the tone for me, in a negative way. Explanation: It starts with a hook-up between the two married men and the man who works at the resort where they stay, but it was just so random? We didn't get any build-up, he walks in there and then one of the married men is all over him, touching his private parts and everything. And the other married man asks his consent even later than this, which is TOO LATE????? It really did not sit right with me. And this scene was repeated later in the book, probably to be a romantic throwback to how their poly relationship got started, but it just reminded me of the awkward first scene with dubious consent... Not great. The rest of the book was kind of sweet, I loved to follow their progression and communication, and the smut was good.
