i read this book after watching the show and found it just as captivating. the diary format made it easy to pick up and had my flying through it.

it sheds light to things i wouldve never otherwise considered and at moments provided a good laugh.

ill be sure to read more by adam kay in the future.

i really enjoyed this play and thought it explored the themes in such a simple yet effective way, i really wish there was more stage directions though to make the occasional thing clearer

i basically read this book because i wanted to watch the film but i ended up having a good time

oliver’s perspective, although flawed, made the mundane things in life stand out and similies and comparisons used perfectly captured what they described. there were moments of relatability in oliver that made him seem human and authentically teenage, despite being a little bit of a sociopath.

yes, in parts, this was a very weird book but it was one i enjoyed spending time with.
