To summarize and save your time, just go touch grass every once in a while and don’t talk to people you hate.

This book was annoyingly long- which says a lot considering it is under 300 pages. There was so much nonsense I often was confused and wondered what this dude was even on about. There’s hardly any research done and this book is pure ramblings from a man who stepped away from his phone for 2 seconds. Wouldn’t recommend- the narration was bland and it was all common sense. None of this is new- smell the roses or whatever…

Not entirely sure what was lacking here but this book was fine, nothing more- nothing less.

This book is so bad I’m considering cancelling my FairyLoot subscription because how dare they place this book into my hands.

There’s so much wrong with this book. It’s bland, it’s lacking, it’s nothing but a bunch of popular booktok tropes piled into a book with zero character development and no plot. This book is nothing but a cash grab and it shows. Truly the main character was awful, she’s so hypocritical and not like other girls. She’ll shit on her sister throughout the entire book for marrying a man she loves and then does the exact thing that she hates her sister for… (she spontaneously falls in love and marries the guy, crazy!) She’s all for hating men and having independence free from a man’s grasps yet completely and utterly folds as soon as a blonde white guy comes in to steal her shit. It’s EnEnMIeS to LoVerS. My god. Women can exist outside a romantic plot but alas, that’s not very profitable now is it.
This book is marked as fantasy and I think the only fantastical thing about it is the love interest has a fucking tail. No thanks. Instant one star for that. Genuinely the main character has no personality outside constantly wanting to prove men wrong and to gain independence. There’s a slight interest in reading romance books but it feels fake and she seems like the kind of person to read for the aesthetic rather than enjoyment. Here’s a few quotes from the last 10 pages where they hook up after betraying one another (because that’s super realistic and healthy right).
“We’ll see how much that matters to you once I’m inside you again” gross? “I consummated my relationship with Eryx. Three times.” Ok, good for you I guess. “There’s just something about knowing that my sister is waiting in the woods while I’m being pleasured by this enthusiastic man that makes it all the more exciting” that’s actually feral seek help.
I recommend this book to people who don’t care about character development, plot, or good writing. This is nothing but tropes hastily thrown together bound up prettily to make it all the more appealing. If you like this book, genuinely raise your standards. At the end of the day though, I’m glad some people can get joy from such a waste of trees.
I feel scammed I want my time back.

Something was missing….
Also what is up with the whole- this all happened because they didn’t have social media? Just cut that out, that made no sense
