I honestly don't remember when I first read this, but my cousin recommended it to me and I have to say it was amazing. Laurie Halse Anderson is an amazingly talented author who can really capture emotions and she does a pretty good job of going into the head of a high school outcast. I found Melinda highly relatable and her situation very sad, and by the end I was truly happy with where the book went. This is one of the first books that made me realize I want to write books!
