|| My reviews are purely personal opinions !! Just a “note to self” type of comment. Sorry !! ||
Very little information was presented. It was more of a repository/historic for their already public story. Literally nothing “Beyond” the Story.
In the begging the boys had fun stuff to share but middle-forward it was just rambling about their already public stuff and a bunch of links/qr codes to already public things.
I’m still upset that there was nothing beyond. It felt like the story was glossed and it had a condescending tone towards them, which they don’t need. Only the “sad” moments are there and it read as it was patronizing to appeal to younger audiences. The editors must have tried to overprotect their image. I wished to know more about the boys point of view, true feelings and even about the point of view of the crew that works/worked with them. There’s not an adult tone and most of it reads like an extended teen magazine article… or Weverse article…
I hoped for an new adult perspective filled with new emotions and memories. But no. It felt cold and empty.
Their lives with amis are more resourceful and beyond :) and an army can definitely tell their story better for others! I voted 4.0 bc I’m into the bts thing but this book is easily a 2.0/1.5… :( sorry
