The perfect series to pick up for your summer getaway. Make sure you read Every Time I Go on Vacation, Someone Dies First. While it is not needed, it will make the story easier to follow. Catherine Mack knows how to keep you glued to the page.
I received an ARC of this book from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you.

I grew up reading Dave Barry in the Miami Herald, which is probably the only reason I read a newspaper. I started reading his books and was hooked. I love the humor he brings to everything. Getting to read this biography was like sitting down with an old friend.
I'm going to keep my review Short And Sweet. I recommend this Book to all who enjoy a Good Laugh and a Good Story.

This was my first time reading Tamara Berry; I loved the writing. I can't wait to read more. This book had eccentric characters, a lovable found family (maybe), true crime podcasts, wannabe P.I.s, and a missing tortoise.
When Amber decides to leave her ex ( a famous P.I.) and working as his assistant/apprentice, she heads for her Grandmother. A woman she has never met, but has heard a lot of stories about from her Mom. Hoping she can crash with her till she figures out what to do with her life. When she arrives at Seven Ponds, a retirement community filled with Senior Citizens, that will keep her on her toes. Starting with her Grandma, it turns out she is Jade McCallan, known for her True Crime Podcast. Jade and her friends all run the podcast and enjoy getting into trouble. As soon as Amber arrives, The Admiral winds up dead, and his family wants to know what happened to a family heirloom. Now her Grandma is under arrest, and everyone is looking at her to find some clues and a missing tortoise.
Will she be able to help her Grandma and find out what happened to The Admiral? Before the Director kicks her off the property, or Nasty Nancy gets rid of her? Just wait till her Ex shows up. This book is filled with twists and Turns that keep you guessing.
Fair warning… this Book will have you laughing out loud. If you don’t want weird looks, avoid reading in waiting rooms. :) Learned the hard way.

When I got approved to read an ARC of Murder by Cheesecake, I did a happy little Snoopy Dance. Then I got nervous, and sadly, I put off reading it. What if she's not able to capture the feel of the show, of The Girls? What if I don't like the mystery aspect? I am happy to say None of those are true.
The major storyline is about Rose trying to throw a traditional St. Olaf wedding in Miami for her cousin Nettie. She will need a lot of Herring and some help from her friends. Meanwhile, Dorothy is trying to find a date for the wedding. She just wants to find one good man, which she thinks she has done. They have talked and are finally ready to meet. It's not the meet-cute she was hoping for.
Let's get back to the main story. Rose is determined to show her St. Olaf Relatives that she can give Nettie a Traditional Wedding. Even if the Groom's Parents have their own plans. Rose is going to do what's best for Nettie. With everyone's help, she just might do it. Until they find a body in the freezer of The Hotel Nettie's soon to be In-laws' own. Surrounded by Cheesecakes.
Murder by Cheesecake is like sitting down and recapturing the joy you had when you watched an episode. Rachel Ekstrom Courage perfectly captured the feel, the laughter, the sass, and the ambiance. I wish we could watch them act out these stories. If you want to enjoy the Nostalgia, the 80s, Miami, and Stories of Sicily and St. Olaf. Go Buy a Copy Today

I have read every Candy-Coated Mystery, and they just keep getting better. These are Cozy Mysteries that you visit like old friends.
Allie and Rex's Wedding is finally here, and Everyone's invited. Now Allie just has to survive her relatives, wedding planning, and a Momzilla that has plans of her own.
When leaving the library, Allie finds Myrtle over the body of Velma with a Bloody rock. To Rex and the authorities, this looks pretty open and shut. Only Allie and the Ladies of the Book Club disagree. Now, Allie has to add catching a killer to her list.
This was one of my favorite books in the series. Allie has Grown so much since coming to the island. This feels like her coming into her own with Rex by her side. I hope there will be many more to come.
