This book is wonderfully written, adding little jokes and constantly plugs into chapters later on. It was genius and kept me hooked. The plot got a tad confusing, but the vibes were all there, and I was happy to follow along anyway.

I quite enjoyed this book!
Overall, I found it quite fascinating and it gripped me well.
I've seen a few comments on Vis, but I found him to be an enjoyable storyteller. I thought the cast was very pleasant, with my stand-out character being Callidus.

I do think some parts of the book could've been better with mostly a further exaggeration of the magic system. I believe I understand it, but I was pulling at straws.

Will be reading book 2 for sure!
