It was like the author needed to hit a word count and just added as many adjectives as she could to make that count. I liked the twist but wow the writing wasn’t great.

This just was not good. The beginning of the book wasn’t terrible but the writing took a turn for me at around 60%. At that point I had to finish and found myself skipping through.
