Good world building in this dark apocalyptic story. Interesting story and characters, very descriptive and a well read audiobook. I think I would have liked this better if I read it rather than listened, though.

I went into this knowing that very long books are generally not my jam, but I wanted to love this one. I enjoyed the characters and I never felt bored, but the main feeling I took away was not a feeling of love is powerful, but more that magic is complicated and confusing. Maybe that's sort of the point, love is a complicated and confusing magic of its own. Life is magic. I haven't read the author's previous works, but I think I would appreciate her style more in short story format. 

Humor Me by Cat Shook

This was pretty good! a mostly lighthearted story with elements of a rom-com that also deals with grief, touches on the me too movement, and has well fleshed out characters. Presley was not my favorite, but as the story went on, she grew on me. The audiobook was well read, and I love a happy ending.

This was a fun one. Zeus's brood in modern day Texas. The audiobook was well read. Fiery and lovable characters, a quick read!

I liked this a lot! Dr. Caroline was a great character, an unreliable (and unlikable) narrator I couldn't help but love. The other narrators were also really good characters, I just really enjoyed Caroline the most. The story kept me guessing, questioning all sorts of plot points! The audiobook was well read, with each narrator having a distinct voice. 

If Something Happens to Me by Alex Finlay

This was fine, I didn't love it. Felt a bit far fetched overall and the characters a bit flat. The mystery was pretty good, I was a bit surprised at the reveal.

I listened to the audiobook, it was well read. I liked the story, generational trauma, the flower farm, but it did drag on in some areas. I JUST realized there's a TV series so I'll probably check it out!

I really loved this memoir, the audiobook was great. Lovely, poetic writing style.
