this book tackled privilege and everything surrounding the topic in such a refreshing way that should be soon more in popular literature. it talked about interesting topics and showed fascinating different perspectives on things. though this book was a very pleasant read and didn’t drag on at all, i didn’t find myself getting attached to the characters a lot

the first half of this book really had me going with the romance, i loved the build up of the relationship between daphne and the duke and their interractions but from the garden scene on it became such a wild ride.
i heard someone describe it as a train wreck you can’t look away from and that is quite exactly what it was for me
i had kind of a hard time keeping up with the book and the characters after the rape scene, i found daphne and simon likeable as a duo before but after this it was hard to root for their relationship

I found the theme of the book very interesting, the idea of traveling back in time without being able to change the present seems pointless, yet the book beautifully showcases how the characters experience doing so.

The topic that the story tackles is  very important and for that reason i like it, it grasped my attention for sure i couldnt stop reading, but aside from these two i didn’t really connect with the storyline

i went into a mourning state after reading this book, as much as i thought i was ready for what was coming.. i wasn’t. i loved patroclus and achilles each with their own flaws and loved the writing style of this novel
