Truthwitch by Susan Dennard
3.0
I really enjoyed this book overall. I didn't love it, but it was overall an enjoyable read. Although I don't plan to run out and get Windwitch right away (the next installment), I may read it in the future if I ever want to revisit this world.
Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

Really enjoyed this read! Basically the Harry Potter story with a few twists, and slightly different villains.
The School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani

This was a cute middle grade book. Would recommend if you like Disney stories and battles of good vs evil. It's a bit slow to start but picks up quickly after that.
The Queen of the Tearling by Erika Johansen

This is a solid read! I'm looking forward to the next two books in this trilogy. Political intrigue: A+.
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

This book was okay--4/5 stars for me. I'm hoping I'll get pulled into the series more as I continue onto the next book in the series, City of Ashes. I want to see what all the Shadowhunter hype is about!
City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare

A great continuation of City of Bones! Excited to see what character development comes next in City of Glass.
Das Versprechen der Schatten by Christine Feehan

Really enjoyed this book. I love everything Christine Feehan writes!
The Invasion of the Tearling by Erika Johansen

This book hits pretty close to home with the state of our current government and (non) equitable treatment of citizens based on race, gender, socioeconomic class and other factors. I definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves fantasy with some contemporary thrown in.
Because You Love to Hate Me: 13 Tales of Villainy by Amerie
4.0
I had a lot of fun reading this! LOVED the concept of pairing already established authors with the BookTube community to create these works. I'd like to see the concept flipped on its head for next time, though. Established authors giving BookTubers writing prompts based on a larger theme. Ameriie's BYLTHM was all around a great package.
The Fate of the Tearling by Erika Johansen
4.0
This series was a whirlwind! An apt take on society as we know it now and how it could be. Erika Johansen does a wonderful job of weaving a fantasy story into a shockingly relevant and contemporary tale that you won't soon forget.
