The writing style is very choppy and fragmented, which makes sense given the character’s mental state. That being said, it did make the novel harder to get through in my opinion. The twist is interesting if not over done. All in all, the book is a fast read with an interesting premise. Looking back on the events of the novel after finishing it was the best part of reading it.
I didn’t like the writing style, didn’t like the protagonist, and didn’t like the plot. That being said, I couldn’t put this book down. This entire novel is one slowly-paced train wreck, you hate it but you can’t look away. After finishing the book last week, I’m still thinking about it. Remainder reminds me of a Black Mirror episode, minus the technology.
