Honestly, I was very skeptical about this comic. I adore the Lunar Chronicles and felt that Winter was a pretty good ending. But then I read this and found myself finding answers to questions I never had. There was so much to the story to be added and I'm glad Marissa Meyers decided to write this comic.

Iko is a great character and I've always liked her. In the Lunar Chronicles, she always felt kind of left out as no one saw her as a hero (besides her friends). She definitely deserved this spotlight.

It was so good to see the familiar faces of my favorite characters again, especially Captian Throne. I loved how there was the little side box to remind me all the important details that may have slipped out.

The illustrations were obvioisly amazing. Can't wait for the next volume.

This was a very fun and enjoyable read. I did not expect it to be so hevay and dark but it was still good. The world was very different and creative. The characters were likeable and charming. The storyline was certainly engaging. The illustrations were beautiful. All the monsters were super creepy but drawn amazingly. I'm definitely gonna continue with the rest of the novels.

Bloody brilliant!

End. This is the end. It was so mind blowing. Packed with action, romance, bickering, devastation, and awesomeness. Plus, Mafi's writing is amazing. I can never get tired of reading it. I keep asking for more and more.

Juliette's character grew so much through this journey. From the timid, scared girl to strong, independent woman. She is finally ready to make decisions for herself and kick some serious ass. She has matured so much as a person and with her powers. Her powers are seriously jaw-dropping crazy. No one can touch this girl. Nothing but love for her.

Aaron Warner Anderson. What can I say for him again? Best. Better than best. He is everything and more. He is so gentle and sweet and I'm so glad we got to see his soft spot with all his toughness. Utterly perfect.

Kenji. Obviously I love this dude and his funny comebacks. He is such a great friend to Juliette and I'm glad he exists. He is just a sweetheart.

Adam is a jerk. Totally selfish, idiotic, bitter, and whiny. Everything doesn't have to be about him and his wishes. I'm so glad Kenji and Juliette didn't take his bullshit all the time. I didn't think he would be such a cry baby about the whole situation. Like, dude grow up and get over it! Some serious Tamlin vibes from him.

The romance *sigh* I feel like my whole life was building towards this romance. Well not my whole life but you know what I mean. It was perfect. I was so so so happy. Like finally!

Anyways, I don't know why I hadn't read this trilogy earlier. Better late than never. It is so good and you bet imma be rereading it in future. Just wish there was an epilogue at the end.

Also, this was a buddy read with the wonderful Virginia. I'm sad that it's over!! It was great as we fangirled and obsessed through the book. It made the experience a whole lot better.

3.5 ish?

Alright now, I really really like this world and the book but it was soooo sllllloooooowwwwww. I found myself scheming through some passages in hopes of of finding more. Don't get me wrong it was all amazing and the detail and descriptions were needed but just make it a tad bit faster. But the ending, God! That was bam, bam, bam. So good.

Now the characters. Alina was a bit annoying in this book. She just kept whining about Mal and power. Mal and power. Mal and power. Like girl get it together!! Yet she is still string is willing to sacrifice anything to defeat The Darkling. And Mal? Let's just say I'm not his biggest fan. I get the sacrifices he made but he can't just run away from everything that's going down. One person I truly love is Nikolai. He is snarky, cocky, smart, and all things amazing!!

"I am Nikolai Lantsov, Major of the Twenty-Second Regiment, Soldier of the King’s Army, Grand Duke of Udova, and second son to His Most Royal Majesty, King Alexander the Third, Ruler of the Double Eagle Throne, may his life and reign be long."

Lastly, I really love Bardugo's writing style. It's very captivating. I think I'm a fan.

You guys!! You know what I just realized?? These covers represent the three amplifiers! Shadow and Bone for Morozova Stag, Seige and Storm for Sea Whip (Rusalye), and Ruin and Rising as in firebird! That is so cool!

Such a marvelous ending to a great trilogy

There was so much epicness!! The first couple of chapters were dull but it picked up the pace soon and just kept going after that. It had me turning page after page to find out what awesomeness it held. There were definitely some parts that annoyed me but overall it was a great read.

Alina is still a bit annoying but she grew a lot in this book. She was a little less Mal obsessed than before but it was still frustrating. While Mal did improve in this book, I didn’t care for him much. Specially their romance. I could have lived without it but I’m happy for how it ended either way.

Now let’s talk about Nikolai, shall we? Nikolai is hands down the best character in the book. He is smart, charming, and hot. I missed him so so so much when he was absent from the book in the beginning but as soon as he entered…BAM…all as well. I love his arrogance and wit and his concern for Ravka. I certainly shed few tears for what he went through towards the end. He is just so precious.

**I just found out that there will be a book on Nikolai! He totally deserves a book of his own. So excited. Here's the link: my link text **

The Darkling. What can I say? I didn’t want to like him but I did. I really like him! He is intriguing and intense. He thrives for more power and fears to be alone thus his obsession with Alina. I might have shipped him and Alina more than Mal and Alina. I mean come on, how can you not?

Again, I was happy with how Leigh Bardugo ended the trilogy. It was amazing. Now I’m here waiting for my copy of SoC to deliver so I can finally start it!!

Took a minute and half to finish this!

The story and plot was great and all but there was one thing that kept me reading pace slow. Clary. I like most of the character but Clary is probably on the bottom of the list. The only thing that kept me going was the plot and other character.

Clary is annoying and makes the stupidest and rash decisions ever. Don’t get me wrong, it makes for a plot twist but all she did throughout the book was whine about missing Jace and how Jace is not the same…blah blah blah. She is stubborn and naive. Running head first into a brick wall at all times. Like no girl, think it through first. Now Jace and Clary are not my favorite couple but I can deal with them. They are both reckless but in the end they would both do anything for the people they love. That’s the quality I like.

Now, for the characters I do like. Isabelle and Magnus!! Well, not them as a couple because reasons but individually. Isabelle was amazing in this book! She would not take crap from anyone and tell them straight up. As for Magnus…he is just awesome!! Alec was like a jealous little boy in this book and I did not like that. And how things ended for him!! Noooo. My little ship better not sink.

Also, I literally had tears when Brother Zachariah said “Two people…there are memories that time does not erase” All the feels!!

Overall, it was an enjoyable read but some parts were just plain annoying and frustrating. Still think book 3 would have been perfect ending for the series. I am just finishing the series because I want to read Lady Midnight and that occurs after this book.
