Part of me wonders whether I’d like this one more if I’d read it first. I’d never read Ashley’s work but I liked this story enough to try a full-length novel.
Theo seemed like a sweetheart. Audrey was self-centred but I think it was just because we didn’t have time to get to know her.
I did like that this was an unconventional miscommunication trope, but overall it wasn’t super strong.

As always, a one-sitting read from Abby. I always find myself drawn into her stories and love that they’re more emotional than a typical romance.
That being said, I felt like there was a bit too much emotion in this. Not in the romance but in…everything else. There was a LOT to unpack and keep track of. Lots of characters, lots of places to direct your attention. I wanted more of Daniel and Alexis! I wanted to feel that bloom more! By the end it all felt too much, too fast. I didn’t totally buy the timeline of their relationship.
Overall, I loved this story. I can’t wait to read Briana’s.

This wasn’t it for me. At ALL. I fully understand suspending belief in a romance but this entire thing was way too far-fetched.
The Scottish writing took me out of it, which is absolutely on me. But since I don’t know the “slang” or terms, I struggled to read Callum’s dialogue.
Ilaria was naive and susceptible. Callum was unserious. I didn’t understand how they worked. It felt more convenient for them than anything else.
Also, a 70-page book doesn’t require a third-act breakup.

Mister Hockey by Lia Riley
Did not finish book. Stopped at 7%.

Cheesedick should have been a dead giveaway. I stopped after the talked about him carrying a big big bottle of ranch to put in her Hidden Valley.

One of my favourite recent reads. I adored this. I typically don’t care for a time jump OR friends to lovers, but this was just…ugh so good.
The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because I felt like it wrapped up too quickly. We spend the entire book learning about these characters and falling in love, and I wanted more of them TOGETHER. Not just sort of together.
I also found there were some loose ends or at least some clumsily wrapped up bits that I wanted more from. But overall I loved this book and Elliot is a top-tier book boyfriend—if not a bit too intense.

I just…this wasn’t the book for me. It’s disappointing, because the first three in this series were incredible. But something about this one really missed the mark.
Daisy felt immature and intentionally naive. Harris was confusing at best. Because he liked her, that’s why he was so rude to her?
I understand this was a short story but things just didn’t make sense. Plus, the added layer of her body image inner monologue didn’t sit right with me.

I loved this. It’s everything I love about Sally Thorne. Funny, charming, lovable. I wish we got some more closure on certain things, and frankly I wish it was longer. But overall I loved it.

I wanted more of them together!!!! I also felt like we got to know a lot about Holly and not a lot about John. I loved it, though.

I adored this! My only knock is that i found the first half confusing to keep up with not using names, but i loved it. I also wanted more of them together, but i know it was a short story!

It started off strong. I really liked the characters and the backstory. But it started to drag, things didn’t make sense, and I was begging for an ounce of editorial review.
